NC GreenPower Membership helps to supplement the state’s existing power supply with more alternative energy – electricity generated from renewable resources like the sun, wind and organic matter.  Aiming to create a carbon-neutral company, Cary Printing purchases 170,000 kilowatts of renewable power per year – to offset for energy consumed by employees traveling to and from work, sales staff traveling to clients, and delivery vehicles. NC GreenPower uses contributions like those of Cary Printing to purchase solar, wind, hydroelectric and other renewable energy from about 20 producers statewide.
